Explanation: Light stands for everything good. Darkness stands for everything bad. God is light, and everything about Him is good. We must also be good, so that we can be in the light!
Question: What are some good things (light) that God wants us to be doing in life?
Question: What are some bad things (dark) that we shouldn’t do?
Activity: Prepare the room ahead of time by hiding some cookies in various places. After the discussion, turn off the lights and have your kids search the room for the cookies. It will be very hard for them to find them. Now, turn on the lights and tell them to look for the cookies! After they have found all of the cookies, you can discuss how much easier things are when we are in the light!
