Why Do Bad Things Happen?

Introduction: One of the most common questions people ask, is “Why do bad things happen to good people?” We could even simplify that to “Why do bad things happen?”

Question: What is your least favorite food?

There are some things that taste really good, and there are other things that taste really bad. Why would God allow things to taste bad? Why would God allow insects, or natural disasters? It is a reality that God does allow bad things to exist; but why?

Immovable Rock

A long time ago, there was a man who was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light. Much to his surprise, God had appeared to him. God told the man that He had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. He then explained that the man was to push against the rock as hard as he could.

True Vision

One day there was a man who was fighting in the army, and was injured pretty severely. He was sad and depressed that he could possibly be effected by his injury for the rest of his life, and was having a hard time having any hope at all. The Fellowship Of The Unashamed

I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple – A prophet of His – and I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure. I’m done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

Blessing Or A Curse

Once there was an old man who lived in a tiny village. Although poor, he was envied by all, for he owned a beautiful white horse. Even the king coveted his treasure. A horse like this had never been seen before – such was its splendor, its majesty, its strength.

People offered fabulous prices for the steed, but the old man always refused. “This horse is not a horse to me,” he would tell them. “It is a person. How could you sell a person? He is a friend, not a possession. How could you sell a friend.” The man was poor and the temptation was great. But he never sold the horse.
