– If someone doesn’t have any deeds to go along with their faith, it’s not real faith.

Question: Why do you think Abraham sacrificing his son showed his great faith?
Question: What are some things that people can do today that shows a great faith?

Question: At what point does Abraham become God’s friend?

James 4:4-10
– James is teaching us that we can’t love the world and love God at the same time.
– He says that friendship with the world is hatred towards God.

Question: What do you think it means to be a friend to the world?
Question: Why would friendship with the world make God so unhappy?

Question: What are some ways that God can oppose people who love the world?
Question: How do you think people can become a friend of God?

Challenge: Make a choice between being a friend of the world or a friend of God because you can’t be both at the same time. To be God’s friend, He requires us to have faith that is evidenced by our deeds!
