Question: What is something that you would buy if you had all the money in the world?

Luke 12:13-21
– Jesus teaches by using a parable. (A parable is a short story with moral point to it.)
– This parable is about a man who was extremely successful and wealthy.

Question: Who are some people today that are extremely successful and wealthy?
Question: What do you think are some good things that could come from being extremely rich?
Question: What are some bad things or some challenges that could come with it?

Question: Do you think it’s good or bad to be rich?

– The rich man in the parable seemed to want to get rich so that he didn’t have to do anything.
– He just wanted to “take life easy; eat, drink, and be merry.”

Question: Do you think most people want the same thing for their life nowadays?
Question: What are some better things he could have done with his time or money?

Question: Do you think you need money to do awesome things for God?
Question: What do you think stops people from doing great things for God?

Challenge: It is not wrong to be rich, but it is wrong not to be rich toward God! Life isn’t about collecting enough stuff to not have to do anything, it’s about doing as much as we can for God. What are you doing with your life?
